Car Builder Journal
Car Builder Journal
This journal is meant to assist and entertain builders of the SuperLite Coupe (SL-C) kit car. It includes detailed instructions, recommendations and over 600 detailed photos of the construction process. The book details the many modifications made to this SL-C as well. For example, the tilt mechanism for the front bonnet, finished trunk in front, radiator relocation to the rear, full custom interior, GM LS3 modifications to the accessory drive, intake manifold, coolant hose outlets, exhaust, etc. The Appendix has a wealth of information on parts you will need, a Porsche transaxle selection guide, the machining process needed for the various Porsche transaxles to fit within the SLC body, maintenance guide, etc. This document is meant to complement (not replace) the RCR SuperLite Coupe Manual, SL-C Clubhouse forum, and Wiki.
The SuperLite Coupe in this book was featured on several MotorTrend TV Channel programs such as Gearz, PowerNation, and Caffeine & Octane. It was a feature car at the 2017 SEMA show and Chip Foose gave it his "Best Paint" Award.
I hope you enjoy building your SuperLite Coupe as much as I did.
The "Car Builder Journal: RCR SuperLite Coupe" is available as a printed, hardcopy version and as an e-book that can be downloaded and read on any e-reader or PC.
The hardcopy edition is priced at $100USD, has 211 pages, over 600 illustrations, and is spiral bound so it lays flat on your workbench when open. Sorry for the higher price, but the book's page count and the number of color photos makes it expensive to print. Please contact BillPhillips4@gmail.com to order. Bill can take a credit card or PayPal.
The softcopy in e-book format is $14.32USD and is available on Amazon. Click here to download it -> https://www.amazon.com/Car-Builder-Journal-SuperLite-Coupe-ebook/dp/B01FZWVXVM/
Note: In the e-book version, the photos automatically scale down your screen size. So the illustrations will display smaller on handheld devices like a Kindle Reader, iPad, or Android tablet. This can make the illustrations difficult to read. I recommend that you view the e-book version on a larger display, like a full-size computer monitor so the illustrations are shown in their full size.
