How you obtain intake air in your SL-C is important- too many cars mount the air filter in a way that ensures that the engine receives warm or hot air- the opposite of a cold-air intake. This scoop is mounted on top of the race tail (not needed if you have a street tail) and ducts air to a user-provided air filter. It allows the filter to see cold air from the top of the body, instead of from inside a hot engine compartment. Works best with a user-fabricated cover or pan to ensure that all the air the filter sees comes from the scoop.

Hand-fabricated in fiberglass, it fits easily on your race tail. Can be bonded or screwed to the body. Can be left alone in the native black gelcoat, painted, or overlaid with a beauty layer of carbon fiber or vinyl.
